Controller-Manufacturing (Food/Beverage)
Position Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to join their dynamic team. This role is critical to managing the financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in financial management, with a preference for those who have worked in food manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Lead the budgeting process and monitor performance against budget.
- Coordinate audits and work with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits.
- Implement and maintain financial systems and software to streamline operations and improve financial reporting.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and manage the preparation of tax returns.
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- CPA or MBA is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Required Work Hours
Monday to Friday, during the first shift.

Additional Details
The position offers a competitive salary range of $160,000 to $200,000 annually+bonus. Candidates with experience in the food manufacturing sector will be given preference.
